How to become a useless designercommunication
When my university teacher asked our class to interpret and respond to one of Dieter Rams’ ten principles of good design after watching the documentary, I chose his second principle: Good design makes a product useful. (This was a 2.5-hour quick hit!) When everyone in my class respectfully responded to his principle, I chose a different direction from the norm. I decided to deliver his principle sarcastically to convey the message effectively. Humour is a big part of my design thinking!
