As a multimedia designer at Urth, I usually work on BAU, marketing campaign tasks and quarterly projects essential for our brand objectives.
As you know, sharing work is tricky when you are an in-house designer. If you are interested, check these links for your reference.

The assets aren't solely a result of my execution, as they've been briefed and reviewed by our team!

Highlights & milestones so far

Email templates & guidelines (2024)Minnie, the Creative Director, and I worked together for three months to create email templates. Switching from Indesign to Figma made cross-team communication easier and our workflow smoother. In addition, we established email template guidelines, which helped our brand achieve more consistent visuals in email marketing.
Rebranding visual identity - typography (2023)I took over the typography for this project; we replaced the typeface from Gilroy to Suisse Int’l. (I shared 18 WIP pdf files that I presented to our team until we made this decision. It may sound like a simple decision, but it isn’t!) Regarding the visual identity guideline, I clarified every rule for typography, such as leading, hierarchy, weight, etc. (I wish I could share the guideline here!)

Learning

Design in IRLI realised that design in real life is more than just ‘creating assets.’ You need to know how to work ‘together’ with other teams, prioritise tasks aligning with the business roadmap, and adeptly learn software essential for execution. Maybe two years ago, I was just a university student living in a hypothetical world, but I am now a designer who deals with timelines and workloads.

Work ‘smarter’ One of my favourite tools nowadays is definitely Chat GPT. I love asking things (marketing terms, CSS, copy for ads, etc) so I don’t need to wait till someone answers me and also waste other people’s time. Utilising AI to work smarter is what I learned at my current job.
