About
'The obstacle is the path.' It sums up me. (This is what my boss told me when I was drafting 60-70 paid social ads in one day at work. Thank god, it was just single-image ads, not video ads!) This is a 'long' version 'about me', so you better bring a cup of tea!

In 2020, I moved to Melbourne from South Korea, my home country. Yes, 'the perfect timing.' After a couple of weeks, Australia closed the border for international travellers - which means that I was the lucky or unlucky one who started uni in Melbourne then.

'The longest lockdown in the world.' Melbourne once claimed it, and I think this was the worst period of my life being in lockdown in a foreign country. I don't know how I made it, but I completed my bachelor's degree, not leaving Australia once.

I am resilient and very committed to what I love. I always try to look for the positive and bright side of unpleasant events, and I learn lessons by having this attitude. It does not mean that I am very optimistic or do not care about ‘reality’, but it means that I am a happy person who appreciates life and is also very realistic regarding work and life goals.

After three years of study, I got my current job. Working as a designer is the most amazing thing that happened in my life. I feel Ikigai. (If you want to know about Ikgai, here is the link. The most beautiful word describes my perspective of working as a designer.)
Since October 2022, I have been a multimedia designer at Urth, Byron Bay. I usually work on Organic Social, Paid Social, BAU emails, magazine articles, and quarterly projects with my great senior (Catherine Stubbs) for my current job. It’s enough about me, I think. I am very friendly and bubbly, so if you ever feel like talking about design or life, I am free. Talk to you soon.
